Soak & Stay At Some of Idaho's Best Hot Springs
Soaking in one of nature’s hot tubs is one of those rites of passage that every Idaho citizen knows about. And the Boise area is one of the best places to find them. Because Boise is so close to the Boise National Forest, pristine rivers, and clean mountain lakes, the area is the prime location for some of the most beautiful hot springs in the world. But don’t think the benefits of soaking in one are purely recreational. It might surprise you to know that they are also fantastic for your health because of their high mineral content.
Just in case you’re ready to dip your toe in one of these natural wonders, here are a few we recommend in the Boise area:
Lava Hot Springs
Lava Hot Springs is a world-famous resort area that people flock to year-round. Their beautiful community is home to several natural hot springs pools. And they even have an indoor aquatic center, and an outdoor swimming complex for a little more adventure. Book a room at their incredible resort or one of their classic hotels and enjoy a fun weekend with the whole family.
The Springs in Idaho City
Located just northeast of Boise is the wonderful Idaho City Hot Springs Resort. Not only can you soak in a 40’ x 80’ hot springs pool here, you can also take a shower in steamy hot springs water. And when you’re not bathing, you can take a walk around the historic community or cuddle up in front of the fireplace in their cozy lodge.
Hot Springs Campground
If your idea of a good time is pitching a tent in the forest and taking a dip in out in the wild, then the Hot Springs Campground might be the place for you. You can soak in the bathhouse or take a mineral water shower. Spend your spare time hiking the majestic mountainside or hanging out by the campfire.
Roystone Hot Springs
Roystone Hot Springs boasts a natural pool flowing from the ground and maintained at about 98° to keep it safe for people of all ages. The owners keep an open swim schedule or allow people to rent it out for private events. This resort prides themselves in their family-friendly atmosphere complete with a hot tub movie center.
Trinity Hot Springs
Tinity Hot Springs is open year round, located in Featherville, Idaho. This unique spring resort is ideal for escaping the real world and enjoying a nice soak in Paradise. The resort offers yoga & wellness classes, and lodging to accomodate 6-60 people. Trinity Springs Water has earned acclaim as the only certified “Naturliches Heilwasser” – a natural health water – in North America. The uniquely deep spring water is recognized as such by the Institut Fresenius in Europe – the international authority on free-flowing spring sources of exceptional purity that contain beneficial minerals.
